SECTION (A)
BOOKING / SCHEDULE
1. Call or
email me, to let me know when you want to
ship & how many horses you have to ship
2. Short
notice bookings may be possible. However two
weeks advance notice should be given in
order to get your horse on a scheduled trip,
so your cost can be minimized also allow for
mailing and return of the hauling
authorization form. Fax will help.
3. A
verbal quote may be given either by calling
, or Email However the shipper will need to
sign the authorization form, for acceptance
of the quote.
4. The
authorization form will need to be filled
out, sign and dated by the shipper prior to
pickup. A PAYMENT/
DEPOSIT OF 50% BEFORE PICKUP
.BALANCE
DUE UPON DELIVERY.
5. $50.00
PICKUP FEE FOR EACH STOP.
6.
SHIPPING COST : NORMAL FEE WILL RUN BETWEEN
.75 AND A 1.50 PER MILE ONE-WAY. DUE TO COST
OF FUEL AND NUMBER OF HORSES PRICES MAY
VARY..NOTE
MORE HORSES ON THE TRAILER ,THE LESS
DELIVERY COST.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Shipper
will be required to fill out sign & date the
authorization form. Keep a copy for your
records and return the original or fax to
me.
2.
Payment forms Excepted (A) Cash (B)
money order (C) Certified Bank Check
3. Extra
charges can result from the following: (A)
Veterinary bills resulting from a need for
treatment while enroute (B) A change in the
pickup or delivery location (C.) Delays in
loading a horse(s), due to paperwork not
being ready to go, horse(s) not ready,
or contact person not being available (D) A
difficult horse(s) that take more than 45
minuets to load (E. Tack over and above a
halter and lead. Additional tack should be
noted at time of booking. Small items will
be $25.00, Large items $50.00. This fee may
be waived at the discretion of GARRISON
STABLES.
4.
Decisions on whether to use shipping boots,
leg wraps, or tail wraps are up to the
shipper. These will need to be in place
prior to pickup. I will not re-apply them if
boots come off or wraps come loose
PAPERWORK NEEDED AT PICKUP
1. A
current coggins test for EIA. A coggins test
is good for one year in most states
2. A
current health certificate, good for thirty
days. Certificate must be valid through date
of pickup and delivery
3. While
not required by law. I do recommend that all
immunization are current. This is for the
health safety of your horse(s)
INSURANCE
1. I will
carry a limited accidental mortality
insurance policy. It is important to
understand that this is collision mortality
only. As a third party (not the owner) it is
not possible for me to provide full
coverage,
2. It is
primarily the horse owners responsibility to
provide insurance. If the owner elects not
to obtain insurance, the owner assumes all
risks. It is strongly recommended. If there
are any questions between buyer and seller
as to whom should provide the insurance.
That the buyer and seller come to an
understanding in advance, as to who will
assume this responsibility.
SERVICE
1. Stops
will be made during shipment. To make sure
that your horse(s) have hay and water. I
will also stop to rest as needed , to make
sure your horse(s) are transported safely.
2. I will
do my best to accommodate special requests.
If you require special feed or alfalfa over
grass hay. Please provide these requests on
the authorization form, and have them
available at time of pickup.
3. I do
keep grass hay on board ( A bale of hay
costs me $4.50) If you ask me to provide
several bales for a trip. Then that cost
would be passed on to the shipper.
4. I like
to work with my customers on shorter hauls.
So that Sellers that do not want to wait for
a large horse shipper who makes runs from
coast to coast to book them. I specialize in
pickup and delivery
East of the
Mississippi River. But I am willing
to consider shipments to other areas.
5.
Both buyer and seller may call me on my cell
phone To check status of the delivery.
Or to advise me of any necessary information
during transportation.
